Authenticity & Inspection Policy
TradeAuct operates a curated luxury marketplace. This policy sets out seller authenticity responsibilities, third-party inspection reports, and the platform's inspection limitations.
1. Primary Seller Responsibility
Sellers are strictly responsible for guaranteeing that every timepiece listed is authentic and legally authorized for sale. Sellers must explicitly disclose all aftermarket, replaced, or non-original components in the listing description.
2. Platform Role & Listing Disclosures
Important Marketplace Notice:
Unless a specific listing expressly identifies a completed physical inspection by TradeAuct or an authorized inspection specialist, TradeAuct has not independently authenticated the item merely because it appears on the platform. Authenticity claims in independent seller listings represent the declaration of the respective seller.
3. Third-Party Inspection Reports & Papers
Listings may feature supporting documentation such as Authorized Dealer warranty cards, independent watchmaker inspection sheets, or third-party authenticity certificates. These documents serve as supporting seller evidence and do not automatically constitute an independent TradeAuct guarantee.
4. TradeAuct-Arranged Physical Inspection Scope
Where a buyer or seller opts for a TradeAuct physical verification or servicing workflow, the listing will clearly display:
- The independent specialist or watchmaker performing the evaluation
- The defined scope of inspection (e.g. movement timing, case authenticity, pressure test)
- Inspection date and serial verification records
5. Counterfeit Disputes & Inspection Limitations
If a buyer raises a counterfeit dispute within the 7-day Buyer Protection window, TradeAuct may refer the case for expert third-party physical assessment. Watch inspection involves professional craftsmanship judgment; standard inspections evaluate visible authenticity markers but do not guarantee detection of internal microscopic modifications unless specified in an advanced laboratory teardown.

These policies govern the operations and transactions facilitated on TradeAuct in the United Arab Emirates. All payment transactions, verification protocols, and dispute handling adhere to applicable UAE consumer and electronic transaction regulations.
