2. Payment Information Handling
Payment transactions on TradeAuct are handled by regulated, PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment service providers (e.g. Stripe). TradeAuct does not store unencrypted full payment card numbers on our servers.
3. AI Processing & Trade Licence OCR
TradeAuct may utilize automated artificial intelligence and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) tools for:
- Extracting corporate metadata from uploaded trade licences to expedite KYB onboarding.
- Suggesting watch specifications, reference numbers, and titles during listing creation.
- Detecting fraudulent listings, suspicious bidding activity, or duplicate accounts.
AI output serves as an operational aid and does not substitute required seller confirmations or formal compliance review. OCR extraction does not itself constitute KYB approval.
4. Purposes of Data Processing
We process your personal and business data strictly for legitimate operational purposes:
- Facilitating user registration, authentication, and secure access
- Conducting live auctions, Buy Now orders, and secure payment processing
- Verifying seller authenticity and maintaining marketplace security
- Coordinating tracked courier collection and protected delivery
- Managing Buyer Protection claims, returns, and dispute resolutions
- Executing seller settlements and financial disbursements
- Complying with applicable UAE anti-money laundering (AML) and consumer laws
5. Third-Party Service Providers & Cross-Border Transfers
We may share necessary data with trusted third-party providers including cloud hosting partners, payment processors, OCR providers, and international courier networks (e.g. DHL, FedEx). Where data is processed internationally, TradeAuct ensures appropriate safeguards under UAE data protection laws.

We retain data only as long as necessary for marketplace operations, legal compliance, tax accounting, and dispute resolution.
